Northern Ireland is one of the UK's most fascinating and underrated destinations. With a complex history, breathtaking coastline, dramatic landscapes, and warm, welcoming people, it offers an experience quite unlike anywhere else in the British Isles. Our 5-day Northern Ireland Explorer covers the best of what this remarkable region has to offer.
You begin in Belfast, one of Europe's most transformed cities. Once synonymous with "the Troubles", Belfast has reinvented itself as a vibrant, culturally rich city of art, food, and music. Explore the historic city centre, visit the Cathedral Quarter, and get a feel for the remarkable journey this city has taken over the past three decades.
Day 2 is devoted to one of the world's most remarkable maritime stories: the Titanic. The Titanic Belfast museum — winner of the World's Leading Tourist Attraction award — tells the full story of the ship's construction in Belfast's shipyards, its ill-fated maiden voyage, and its enduring cultural legacy. It's a profoundly moving and visually spectacular experience.
Day 3 takes you north to the UNESCO-listed Giant's Causeway — one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in the world. Around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, formed by ancient volcanic activity, create a landscape that looks almost impossibly geometric. The coastal scenery here is simply stunning.
Day 4 follows the famous Causeway Coastal Route, stopping at the ethereal Dark Hedges — the ancient beech tree avenue made famous by Game of Thrones — and the dramatic Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Day 5 brings a fond farewell to this land of giants, legends, and warm Irish hospitality.
