If you've ever dreamed of wandering through picture-perfect English villages, strolling past rolling green meadows, and relaxing with a pint in a centuries-old pub, our 4-day English Countryside Retreat is the tour for you. Based in the legendary Cotswolds region, this is England at its most quintessential and serene.
The Cotswolds is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering parts of six English counties. Its honey-coloured limestone villages, dry-stone walls, and lush valleys have remained largely unchanged for centuries — it's easy to see why this region is one of England's most beloved destinations. Over four days, you'll discover its most charming corners at a leisurely, unhurried pace.
Day 1 introduces you to the region's most iconic villages: Bourton-on-the-Water, often called "the Venice of the Cotswolds" for its low bridges over the gentle River Windrush; and the fairy-tale perfection of Bibury, with its famous Arlington Row — an 14th-century row of weavers' cottages that appears on the British passport.
Days 2 and 3 are dedicated to the region's renowned gardens, estate houses, and local food culture. Visit Hidcote Manor Garden, one of England's great Arts and Crafts gardens, and explore the estate of a classic Cotswolds manor house. Sample local produce at farm shops and artisan markets — the Cotswolds is famous for its organic beef, Gloucester Old Spot pork, and locally brewed ales.
On Day 4, experience the authentic English pub culture that has been the heartbeat of rural English life for centuries. Your guide will lead you to some of the region's most historic and atmospheric pubs — places where time seems to stand still and every pint comes with a side of history.
