Tour Overview

Liverpool is one of Britain's most vibrant and culturally significant cities — a UNESCO City of Music, a maritime powerhouse, the birthplace of the Beatles, and home to some of England's finest art galleries and museums. Our 3-day Art & History of Liverpool tour gives you a thorough and deeply enjoyable introduction to this extraordinary city.

Day 1 is a pilgrimage for music lovers. The Story of the Beatles museum in the heart of the city centre tells the full story of how four young lads from Liverpool changed popular music forever. Interactive exhibits, rare memorabilia, and immersive audio-visual experiences make this a genuinely moving and exhilarating visit. Afterwards, walk down Mathew Street — the legendary road where the Cavern Club stands, the venue that launched a thousand careers and hosted the Beatles over 290 times.

Day 2 takes you to Liverpool's magnificent waterfront — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tate Liverpool, housed in a converted warehouse on the Albert Dock, is one of the UK's leading contemporary art galleries and showcases the best of modern and contemporary art. Albert Dock itself is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering and now home to galleries, restaurants, bars, and the Merseyside Maritime Museum, which explores Liverpool's rich seafaring heritage and its complex history including the transatlantic slave trade.

Day 3 brings a comprehensive walking tour of the city — covering everything from the magnificent Liverpool Cathedral (the largest in the UK) to the Georgian grandeur of William Brown Street, the Chinese Arch, and the atmospheric streets of the Baltic Triangle art district. Liverpool is a city that rewards exploration, and our expert guide will ensure you don't miss a thing.
